Bošković family tomb is one of the important graves and monuments at the Cemetery Boninovo (Dubrovnik, Croatia).
Bošković family
Honorary position in the Orthodox cemetery belongs to the grave of Bošković family, rich merchants and large landowners, and the main benefactors of the Serbian Orthodox Church parish.
Tomb characteristics
The tomb was built in a conspicuous location - on the axes of the cemetery' main alley, leaning against the eastern wall of the church, next to the altar. What makes it unique is also the fact that it had been ordered from Trieste and that three types of stone were used, making it one of the best examples of historicist funerary sculpture in Dubrovnik.
