Dabrović family tomb (1887)

Dabrović family tomb is one of the important graves and monuments at the Cemetery Boninovo (Dubrovnik, Croatia).

It was built after the death of one of the sons of Božo Dabrović. Contrasting the consistency and modesty of most tombstones in Dubrovnik cemeteries, its size and design make it an atypical tombstone.

Tomb characteristics

The tomb was built in neoclassical style with Doric pilasters, frieze and pediment obviously modelled after ancient monuments. It was shaped like a pavilion which opens to three sides, with the epitaph altar in the back.
