Julián García San Miguel, Marquis of Teverga (1841-1911): Second marquis of Teverga. Son of a rich bussinessman who made his fortune in the American trade and whose title was awarded by Amadeo de Saboya, whom he hosted while visiting the city. Julián García San Miguel was member of the Parliament from 1869 and 1907, during the Bourbon Restoration; lifetime senator from 1907 until his death; he was the most prominent politician and economist of Avilés for many decades.
