“One million Dubliners” is a soon coming documentary film about Glasnevin Cemetery, the largest and oldest cemetery in Ireland.
Glasnevin Cemetery is placed in Glasnevin, Dublin. It was established in 1832 and is the final resting place of 1.5 million souls. It is Ireland’s national cemetery and a very important part of its cultural, historical and national heritage.
“One million Dubliners” is a story about the cemetery, its history, architecture, art works and famous people that are buried there. Furthermore it will reveal the often unspoken stories of ritual, loss, redemption, emotion, history and the business of death.
The film will be released in Irish cinemas on Friday, 31st October 2014.
