The show is set as a selection of the most famous verses of Dante's Hell delivered on a night walk, at the discovery of some of the artistic treasures of the monumental cemetery.
Characters speak themselves out as in a monologue, telling their stories from the afterworld kingdom, in a site specific performance that couples art and poetry.
Dante 750. Discesa agli Inferi (Descent into Hell) was first presented by Rimachèride in this year's summer programme of Bologna inside Certosa monumental cemetery, Bologna, Italy.
Celebrating 750 years from Dante's birth, the intention is to keep alive the heritage of one the most important poets of history, focusing on his absolute modernity and brightening up his force through theatre.
The show is presented in cooperation with Comune di Trento, Istituzione Bologna Musei | Museo civico del Risorgimento and with Teatro E.
