On the 25th of August there will be an "Open Day in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany" in Berlin.
Association of Significant Cemeteries of Europe (ASCE) was invited to participate at the event and present its work and the work of European Cemeteries Route (CEMR).
Many promotional materials in English will be available to visitors, such as brochures and postcards.
Cemeteries as part of tourist offer
Cemeteries are becoming increasingly recognizable as an important part of the cultural heritage and at the same time an important part of the tourist offer of the cities where they are located. This role of cemeteries is increasingly recognized by ministries that encouraged and support the promotion of organizations such as ASCE at their events.Usually, such events are very much visited, both by the general public and by representatives of various important institutions. Consequently, the participation of ASCE on the Open Day in Berlin is an important opportunity to spread the recognition of the association and the CEMR project.
