On the occasion of 41th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade and International Tourist Guide Day 2019, of the tourist potential of the New Cemetery in Belgrade (Serbia), was presented as a part of the tourist programs of the City of Belgrade, for the third time in a row.
This year, the
New Cemetery in Belgrade will honor the International Tourist Guide Day (21st
February), by a guided tour devoted to significant Serbian diplomats entitled:
- Golden Age of Serbian Diplomacy – February 24, 2019 at 11:00 hrs
The visitors will
have the opportunity to hear the stories on diplomatic service of famous
authors and poets, representatives of so-called „Golden Age of Serbian
Diplomacy", including the tales on decisive moments in history, love and
deception, intrigues and scandals. This remarkable characters, both
professionals and those who entered the merciless arena of diplomacy from
completely different professions, will most certainly intrigue our visitors, as
many times before.
Three additional
guided strolls are planned in the period March –June 2019, as an opening of
this year’s season of guided tours through the New Cemetery:

- Embodied from Mind and Soul (Story of Extraordinary Ladies) – June 2, 2019.
The inspiring
guiding of our colleague, art historian Violeta Obrenović, will offer visitors
the unforgettable experience of discovering the hidden beauties of the New
Cemetery and of reviving memories on figures who have left a memorable trace in
the rich and turbulent history of Belgrade contributing to its stratification,
richness, diversity, cultural identity and the unique authentic spirit.
