WDEC - Symbols and Emblems at the Monumentale in Milan

A guided walk on Symbols and Emblems will take place on Saturday, 2nd June by the Friends of the Monumentale. Cemeteries are places where the mysterious language of symbols is spoken.  Sculptors

and architects used to add plants, animals, winged hour-glasses and broken columns, snakes, dragoons, stars and knots in their works to enhance their meaning. The aim of this walk is to spot and explain them.
