Carlo Maciachini, the architect of the Monumentale Cemetery in Milan will be paid a tribute in Trieste on October 17th in connection with the 150th anniversary of San Spiridione, the church of the Serbian-orthodox community designed by Maciachini. A joint presentation of the volume, Carlo Maciachini, un positivista eclettico (C. Maciachini, an eclectic positivist) will be provided by Francesco Krecic (Cultural Heritage) and Carla De Bernardi (president of the Amici del Monumentale) at the Museo Revoltella at 7 pm. A concert performed by young Serbian musicians will follow. Celebrations will last through October 20th and include an exhibition about San Spiridione, a concert by the San Spiridione Choir and consecration of the church.
